Don’t forget to wear red today to commemorate the women of color lost to violence and to demand that violence against us ends.

Fal is once again asking ALL women to “Be Bold, Be Red” and stand up against violence against women of color today October 30, 2008.

  • Wear Red
  • Participate in one of the live events in: DC, Chicago, Durham, Atlanta or Detroit
  • Take a picture of yourself or your group in red and send it to beboldbered@gmail.com

They will be uploading images and videos to the website tomorrow.

Last year, several women of color also wrote about what violence against women of color means to them. I am also asking you to write in support of the campaign:

  • Spread the word about wearing red through your blogs, social networks, and listservs
  • write a short piece on your site about violence against women before the day ends

(You can read many of the great posts from last year here)
