These readings are an accompaniment to a conversation about Anger and Productive Energy going on at BFP’s. They are pieces I have found to be helpful in thinking about doing the work, healing, and moving forward in feminism. I will put the copyright information with each asap but wanted to get them up as promised. In my mind these pieces represented some powerful thinking on what it means to be engaged in a feminist struggle from a position of strength rather than weakness or abuse. (htp endless screed for the Judit piece)
- Anzaldua “Now Let Us Shift” in Anzaldua and Keating. (2002) This Bridge We Call Home. NY: Routledge.
- Moraga “XicanaDyke” in Alexander, Albrecht, Day & Segrest (2002) Sing, Whisper, Shout, Pray. MA: Edgework Pr.
If people are up for it, I would love to have an online reading group on the Anzaldua piece as bfp suggested. As well as any of the other pieces here.
